Godot editor game embedding just got a big upgrade

"After Godot 4.4 got the amazing \"Unity\" game embedding feature from [YeldhamDev's pull request](https:\/\/github.com\/godotengine\/godot\/pull\/97257) - which is available to test in the latest Godot dev releases - you would be excused for thinking it couldn't get any better - at least not until 4.5 or so.\r\n\r\nBut the 4.4 release has more tricks up its sleeve! Last night, developer [Hilderin](https:\/\/github.com\/Hilderin) got a new [pull request](https:\/\/github.com\/godotengine\/godot\/pull\/99010) merged into the 4.4 release, which embeds the main game window into the editor! \r\n\r\n![](\/files\/de97deb1-1d33-4043-92ff-f56abcb87019)\r\n\r\nThe developer writes:\r\n> This implementation places the running game window as a child of the editor and embeds it inside the Game Workspace. The running game remains a separate process, with all keys and inputs handled in a separate event loop to maintain performance even when embedded.\r\n\r\nOne downside is that this feature only works on Windows and Linux, with a Mac OSX implementation unfortunately hindered by some platform limitations.
