Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply for your usage of The Godot Barn ("we", "the site", "the Service", "the community"). By using and / or interacting with the site, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined on this page. Some of these terms and conditions are inspired by Stack Overflow. We may update these terms at any time. Any changes will be listed at the end of this document.
"The Godot Barn" is a site operated and run by a group of volunteers and Godot enthusiasts. We encourage you to share your experience and knowledge using the functionality we provide, and help us build a community of Godot friends.
Trademark disclaimer
All trademarks, logos and brand names are the property of their respective owners. All company, product and service names used in this website are for identification purposes only. Use of these names, trademarks and brands does not imply endorsement.
Acceptable use
We expect all users of the site to behave in a way that is respectful to others. This includes, but is not limited to, users, moderators, administrator and contributors.
As the users of this site come from locations all over the world, you may experience differences in the way people behave. We encourage you to approach differences with an open mind, while still maintaining a respectful and friendly attitude towards others.
Be friendly and respectful
Whether you submit content, ask questions or post comments we expect everyone to treat each other with kindness and respect.
The Godot Barn is a community of both teachers and learners, and sometimes while learning, people make mistakes. If you encounter content that you believe is harmful, flag it, and our moderators will review it.
Don't be mean
Game development may cover topics that some may find disturbing, provocative or distasteful. We do, however, not allow any harassment or user behavior that causes or contributes to an atmosphere of exclusion or marginalization.
Lively discussions are encouraged as long as it is related to Godot or game development, stays on topic and contributes to a meaningful discourse.
Help others
The Godot Barn is built to provide a safe space to ask question, learn about and experiment with Godot-related game development concepts. Keep in mind that many users are "indie" developers, and as such may not (yet) have experience in the complex field of game development.
Contribute to a positive learning experience and stay curious.

If we find you to be in violation of any terms listed on this page, your access to the Service may be restricted or terminated without notice, and your content may be removed at our discretion. To the extent we deem possible, we will make a good-faith effort to provide you with advance notice, and we will do our best to work with you and ensure a fair outcome.

You will indemnify and hold The Godot Barn, its moderators, agents, partners, vendors and service providers (including, without limitation, hosting providers) harmless, including costs and attorneys’ fees, from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of your access to the site, use of the service, your violation of this Agreement, or your infringement or any third party using your account, of any intellectual property right.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE GODOT BARN AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, NEGLIGENCE OR ANY OTHER LEGAL OR EQUITABLE THEORY WITH RESPECT TO THE SERVICE (I) FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, OPPORTUNITIES, REPUTATION, PROFITS OR REVENUES, OR (II) FOR ANY DIRECT DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) IN THE AGGREGATE, EVEN IF THE GODOT BARN OR ITS AFFILIATES HAVE BEEN TOLD OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE, AND EVEN IF THESE REMEDIES FAIL THEIR ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. NOTHING IN THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL PREVENT THE GODOT BARN’S RIGHT TO SEEK AND OBTAIN EQUITABLE RELIEF. NOTWITHSTANDING SUCH RIGHT OF EQUITABLE RELIEF, TO THE EXTENT THAT APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT SUCH LIMITATION OF LIABILITY OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY, SUCH LIMITATION WILL APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
